Education & Scholarship Opportunities

Education is the Foundation of Our Future

Providing financial assistance to promising high school seniors with a strong work ethic, the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce strives to enhance and enrich education and economic opportunities for the region’s rising workforce in Eastern Jackson County.

High School Scholarships

The Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce Education Committee awards five $1,000 scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated a strong work ethic, commitment to community involvement, and endless pursuit of growth and improvement in all aspects of their lives.

One scholarship winner is selected from each of the three Lee’s Summit public high schools, one from a Lee’s Summit private high school, and one from a school outside the district. The scholarship must be used within the same year it is received.

Interested students should submit a completed application, resume, and official transcript to the Chamber.

Applications for 2023 are now closed. Applications will re-open in early 2024.
