2022 Truly the Best Business of the Year Award Winners Announced at June Luncheon

Winners for the 2022 Truly the Best Business of the Year awards were announced at the Chamber monthly membership luncheon on Friday, June 17. The University of Central Missouri Lee’s Summit took the award in the 1-20 employees category and GEHA was named the winner in the 20+ employee category. The Chamber extends a big congratulations to the winners and all the nominated businesses this year!

Nothing is more important to us here at the Chamber than our members, so to show our appreciation we are hosting a member appreciation night at the K! On Friday, July 8th, you’re invited to a Royals tailgate barbecue with complimentary food and beverages for all our members.

Dr. Elaine Metcalf Named Citizen of the Year

The City of Lee’s Summit is excited to announce Mayor Bill Baird has selected Dr. Elaine Metcalf as the 2022 Citizen of the Year recipient in recognition of her work educating, supporting and mentoring the youth in the Lee’s Summit community. She will be honored at the July 28 Missouri Municipal League’s Civic Leadership Banquet, Truman Heartland Community Foundation’s Annual Citizen’s Reception in early September and its “Toast to Our Towns” Gala in late September.
