Truly the Best Top 3 Finalists Announced at the Chamber Luncheon on March 18

The Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce was pleased to recognize 19 outstanding businesses nominated for the 2022 Truly the Best Business of the Year Award at the monthly membership luncheon on Friday, March 18. The top three finalists in the 1 to 20 employees category include Collins | Webb Architecture, SERVPRO of Lee’s Summit and the University of Central Missouri Lee’s Summit. Finalists in the over 20 employees category include Frontier Justice, GEHA and Saint Luke’s Surgicenter – Lee’s Summit.

Come and be inspired by the story of six-time USA National Boxing Champion Cam F. Awesome. He’ll share the ups and downs of his boxing career, and how he has transitioned that into a successful career of public speaking, consulting and diversity training. Ribbon Cutting & Groundbreakings

Parade of Hearts

The Chamber hosted a community ribbon cutting on Tuesday, March 29th to celebrate the Parade of Hearts downtown heart located at 217 SW Main Street. Chamber members and the community gathered for the event to hear from the artist, Beth Martens; Parade of Hearts organizer, Jenn Nussbeck; and Lee’s Summit Mayor, Bill Baird. Missouri Aviation Leaders to Host Celebration of State’s $11.1B Industry

Leaders from across the Missouri aviation community will meet with elected officials to commemorate State Aviation Day at the State Capitol on March 29. “Aviation is a vital component of the total transportation package that serves Missouri’s industries, businesses, and residents,” said Steve Stockam, Joplin Regional Airport Manager and Immediate Past Chair of Missouri Aviation Advisory Committee. “State Aviation Day serves as a way to highlight the tremendous impact that aviation has on the economic wellbeing of this state.”
